I am a Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) and an ACA Chartered Accountant. I help organisations turn complex financial data into trusted, decision-ready insights using Power BI, Databricks, SQL, Python, and Azure.
I built fda-toolkit, a Python package on PyPI containing 67 production-ready financial data analysis functions, used by more than 1,000 analysts each month to automate financial data cleaning, validation, reconciliation, and analysis.
My career began in traditional finance: month-end close, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and board reporting. I saw finance teams spending too much time reconciling spreadsheets and preparing reports manually instead of analysing performance and supporting better decisions. That observation led me into data analytics, not to leave finance, but to modernise it.
Today, I combine a chartered accounting background with modern analytics to build Power BI semantic models, design star schema data models, develop SQL pipelines, automate financial workflows with Python, and deliver scalable reporting solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and business decision-making.

My journey into finance was unconventional. Although I was initially offered a different academic path, I chose to pursue accounting from the ground up, progressing from AAT to completing my ACA qualification. That experience shaped how I work today: I take ownership, build systems from fundamentals, and focus on outcomes rather than limitations.
Over 13+ years, I've worked across corporate finance, NHS finance leadership, and public‑sector analytics, including as Treasurer and Board Trustee of Asylos, a UK charity, where I lead annual budget cycles, board reporting, and governance and risk management.
